Bundle Dyeing with Food Waste

Turn your kitchen waste into a kaleidoscope of color onto a bandana! Squeeze every drop of color out of leftovers slated for the trash or compost by bundling them into mordanted bandanas and steaming them until the color and fabric create a bonded pattern. Work with materials such as red and yellow onion skins, coffee grounds, tea bags, vegetable skins, and spices. Materials provided. Collaborator: Textile Center.
